Evazote

Evazote Foams are closed cell cross-linked ethylene copolymer foams. They are tougher than Plastazote foams-stronger and more resilient. They are used widely in a range of sports applications and leisure products, as well as footwear and in the construction industry where its enhanced durability and chemical resistance make it ideal for expansion joints.

EV and VA grades differ in the proportional make up of the ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer.

Grade nomenclatures indicate polymer types and nominal density:

EV = ethylene vinyl acetate (higher VA content)

VA = ethylene vinyl acetate (lower VA content)

E.g. EV50 Blue Evazote is 50kg/m3 ­ Polymer - ethylene vinyl acetate 18%

VA25 White Evazote is 25kg/m3¯ Polymer¯ethylene vinyl acetate 9%

Additionally, the Evazote materials are also manufactured as conductive grades combining all the general properties of the specific grade with reduced volume resistivity. They are used for a wide variety of applications including the storage protection and transport of electronic components and devices, and EMC shielding.

At Polyformes we will make any item you require in Evazote foam using a variety of processing methods. As a guide to available materials in the Evazote group of foam materials, here is the current range of densities and colours. Bear in mind that we laminate and bond sheets together in order to make any size or length of block from which to produce finished parts. If your products are of a very high volume, then colours can be specially made to suit.

About Supazote

Supazote EM26 Foam has been formulated to provide an extremely soft feel. It is a closed cell cross-linked ethylene copolymer that is very elastic though when heat formed, produces very crisp parts. With a high co-efficient of friction and considering the purity of the foam, Supazote EM26 is highly suitable for healthcare applications.

EM26 is 26kg/m3 ethylene & methacrylate copolymer (very soft feel). It is the softest foam in the Azote range recommended for 'soft touch' applications and has excellent inert thermal insulating material that can accommodate any size of space or gap.
