Laser marking of polyethylene foams is regularly used in the industrial, engineering and commercial sectors both for part identification for users, traceability for quality and inspection purposes, and for enhancement of product packaging. Unlike printed or stencilled ink based marking, laser etching is used for long term non scratch cases. As any image or logo can be etched from computer programs, there is no end to what can appear on the foam surface.
